2025 5th International Conference on Intelligent Power and Systems (ICIPS 2025) was successfully held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province from October 24 to 26, 2025. Hosted by Chang'an University and the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, and organized by the School of Energy and Electrical Engineering at Chang'an University and the Smart Energy Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, the conference received strong support from sister institutions including Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Chongqing University, Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, Xi'an University of Technology, Xi'an University of Science and Technology, and Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. Focusing on the rapidly evolving field of smart power and systems, the conference aimed to provide a high-level exchange platform for experts, scholars, engineers, and R&D practitioners in related fields. Accepted papers will be submitted to IEEE for publication and indexed by EI, Scopus. ICIPS2025 centers on cutting-edge research and emerging trends in smart power and systems. It brings together over 100 researchers, engineers, and technical experts from academia and industry worldwide to explore future technological directions, advance academic innovation and industrial integration, and share pioneering research achievements.
The conference was opened and chaired by Prof. Yan Wang, Party Secretary of the School of Energy and Electrical Engineering at Chang'an University. Professor Yiliang Yao, Vice Dean of the Academy of Science at Chang'an University, and Senior Engineer Li Huazheng, Chief Expert of Grid Operation at State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Research Institute and Shaanxi Electric Power Co., Ltd., delivered opening remarks, extending a warm welcome to all attending experts and scholars.

A total of 14 scholars delivered reports and shared insights, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of academic exchange. Attendees responded enthusiastically, unanimously acknowledging that this conference provided an opportunity for academic exchange and collaboration that fosters unity, strengthens industry-academia-research partnerships, and paves the way for a shared future. It is expected to significantly advance innovation and development in the field of smart power and systems.
